On Saturday 6 February, 28 students and 3 members of staff went on the College's 2016 Ski Trip to Serre Chevalier, France.
The students enjoyed lessons with ESF and a packed apre ski programme. We took a wide range of abilities with us from GB squad skiers to absolute beginners, the students were put into 3 groups and had 5 hours of lessons a day plus supervised sessions in the afternoon. The group were lucky to be able to ski in some perfect conditions with many powder days.
At the end of the week the students were given awards for the best skier in each group. Winners were: Charlie Lambden, Izzy Howard and Natasha Harvey. The most improved skier awards were won by Alex Waites, Bev Voller and Kirstie Ross. The Jamaican Bobsleigh team, led by their coach Charley Faithfull, won the award for best fancy dress on the piste.
It was an amazing week with an amazing bunch of students, Hannah Fearn who also came on last year's trip said, 'The Ski Week is always the best week of the year'.
